Morning and evening, indeed.
Checking up on me, are we, Faedya? Having me watched, even? Or having Yvaena watched, which amounts to the same.
The question is, are we facing girlish jealousy about something utterly without grounds, or ... or perhaps some surprising insight into Yvaena's intentions? Her little exchange with Lady Rhaieen would imply at least some of the later.
Hm.
But she is a silly girl, still. Ah, and most likely just parroting whatever is said by her advisors. That Audreyna woman, most likely. Karlesta is eager to dislike Yvaena because of that jealousy, and she'll believe anything negative that she hears. Whether it's founded in truth or not.
No less dangerous, but ...
... but this only need continue for another two days. Once Yvaena makes her presentation, Melyndra's power will be all but gone, and Karlesta's will be entirely. So long as she isn't putting pieces together on her own, we'll be just fine.
Ahah. Ugly business, I won't lie. Satisfaction and anticipation are tempered with regret. You'll never see that it's nothing personal ...
