Friends close, and enemies closer.
Ah, well, what do we have, then?
Well, to begin, Karlesta, of course ... Karlesta is completely ours. No questions about it. Her loyalty to her mother and her Goddesses is stronger, but not by much. Handing sermons off to her subordinates to enjoy tea with me? How ... undevoted. ... ah, and touching, I suppose. Poor girl. It's her own fault, for being so naive, but one can't help but feel somewhat.
Lord Adrian ... ah, I'm not sure what to make of him, personally. Polite, friendly, but somewhat cold, in lessons. Clearly holding something back, but perhaps he's just slow to trust. It was a very generous offer, and he seems intelligent enough to possess the base wisdom of suspicion. Politically, obviously, he's one of the Prophet's most undeniably strongest weapons -- a Megami nobleman, so devoutly converted. Whatever he is, personally, he's a trophy. Practically stuffed and mounted. What other use do women have for men, after all?
Audreyna despises me. I see it in her eyes. There's no hope there, not unless Westa can do something about it, and I ... ah, well, I have my doubts. She seems to lose no love for the House of the Phoenix. Out with the old. It seems a waste of valuable time and effort to concern ourselves with her. She'll never change her mind.
Raezi is, of course, easy enough. Steered by emotions. How can a love story not sweep her off her feet?
And Faella ...
Faella is the trickiest of them. Ah, and the most important, I believe. Karlesta leans on her the most ... trusts her the most. Melyndra Destra, as well, seemed to put a great deal of faith in the woman. She is competant, intelligent, and, most importantly, incredibly careful. She's weighing me, I think ... weighing my advice, my influence, and, of course, my lack of a conversion. And weighing my prestige, the ultimate trophy husband, the blood Lady Laeleena, of old Atsiria. She does not love me, of that I am sure ... but neither does she hate me, and my, does she ever love Cleraine, and House Atsir ...
Hm. A woman like her responds best to another woman.

Ah, sister ... as you asked, I've been taking observations of Karlesta Faedya's advisors.

Ahah, Karlesta Faedya ... allow me to say, again what a lovely afternoon I had today. Please, be sure to thank Lady Raezi for me again. Her help has been so invaluable in securing some time together without interrupting your very important work.
