Two weeks they've been here, and no improvement in her condition. They say the pain is intense ... as if she's being stabbed. It's a wonder she's gotten as used to it as she has. And none of their herbs are working to dull the pain.
Mother is concerned. Dragons bless her, why wouldn't she be? Stories of what happened in Norey all do seem linked to them, don't they? But Westa believes this wise ... and perhaps she is right. History is going to remember these people, of that much I'm certain, and if it remembers us as those who helped them while House Anshar arrested them, it's worth a sacrifice.
And what a lovely book, Daerielle. The occasional reminder that you're not stupid is welcome, as always. Dragons only know why you feel the need to hide being intelligent. It's a woman's world.
